FAQ

WHY GO WITH ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS INSTEAD OF FRESH FLOWERS?

  1. Artificial flowers won’t wilt, get smashed during transit, or drop petals.
  2. They won’t flare up your allergies - or your guests’ allergies.
  3. All artificial flower varieties are available year-round, no matter the season.
  4. Artificial flowers are more lightweight than live bouquets, and easier to carry.
  5. Fresh flowers are more expensive, yet get discarded after just one day of use.
  6. Artificial arrangements can be made far in advance, reducing your day-of stress.
  7. They look stunning in photos, without any drooping in the hot summer sun.
  8. There is no water involved, so less to worry about, and less to keep up with.
  9. Fresh flowers can potentially stain your clothing - artificial flowers do not.
  10. Artificial flowers are more durable and can better withstand inclement weather.
  11. Since they last forever, you can repurpose them or use them as home decor.
  12. Let’s be honest, some real flowers actually stink - artificial flowers are odorless.

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR DELIVERY, SETUP, AND TEARDOWN?

  • Delivery/drop-off: Free within 10 miles of Ardmore, Oklahoma. For anywhere else, $1 per mile, round-trip, with a minimum of $50 - will also apply if the ceremony & reception are in different locations

  • Setup + time on-site: $20 per hour with a 1-hour minimum

  • Full teardown: $50

  • Late teardown after 10:00 pm: $100

  • Budgets of $3,000+ include full service - delivery, setup, & teardown

  • Of course, pick-up is FREE!

Some examples:

  1. Your venue is 5 miles from MyArtbeat Florals’ studio and you only need delivery; no setup or teardown services.

    Cost = Free!

  1. Your venue is 30 miles from MyArtbeat Florals’ studio. Both ceremony and reception are at the same location, and you need setup but not teardown. Setup is very simple and only takes 30 minutes. No additional services are needed, so the florist leaves.

    Cost = $80… ($60 round-trip delivery/mileage fee; $20 setup (1-hour minimum))

  1. Your ceremony venue is 100 miles from MyArtbeat Florals’ studio, and the reception is at a different location 5 miles North of the ceremony venue. You have an arch swag plus reception décor, so you’d like setup and teardown services. The ceremony starts at 6:30pm and the reception will run until 10:30pm. The florist will need to stay for the entirety of your 4-hour booking.

    Cost = $390… ($100 delivery/mileage fee to ceremony + $5 to reception + $105 return trip; $80 setup/on-site fee ; $100 late teardown services (after 10:00 pm)).

HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

  1. Submit a date availability request. If I have your date available, continue to Step 2.
  1. Fill out the detailed booking questionnaire. This gives me most of the information I will need, and will speed up the process.
  1. If you opt in on the 10% photography discount, you’ll need to submit the contract prior to payment.
  1. Now we get to chat about the specifics of your order! Once we have that nailed down, I will send you an order summary to review. At that point you will pay a 50% deposit of your item total (which will be listed on your order summary) via Paypal, Cash App, or Venmo. $100 of this deposit will be non-refundable, should you cancel your booking at any time or for any reason.
  1. Now it's official, and I can start making your florals! You will likely be hearing from me during this process, as I like to keep my clients very involved!
  1. When I have completed your florals I will send you completion photos. At this point you can request changes, tweaks, or implement add-ons. Once you have assured me you love everything, you will pay the remaining balance (again, the amount will be specified on your order summary). Any design change fees, add-ons, or delivery/setup/teardown services will be included in the final total.
  1. Once final payment has been made, relax! I will be in touch to confirm pickup/delivery/setup/teardown arrangements.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

I require all bookings to be made a minimum of 3 months in advance of your wedding or delivery/pick-up date. The earlier you book, the better! I recently had my first baby, so I will be selective in the number of bookings I take due to my time restraints.

Everything I create is either wood, silk, fabric, dried, or naturally preserved. This means you can book several months in advance without worrying about wilting or decay! Just keep the flowers in a dry, cool place out of moisture and direct sunlight, and your arrangements can last for years!

MY WEDDING IS LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AWAY! CAN I STILL BOOK?

It never hurts to ask! On the rare occasion that I accept a booking under 3 months, an additional 10% Rush Booking Fee will be added to your final payment. Whether or not I accept a last-minute booking will be determined by my current booking status, the amount and type of florals you would need, and whether I will be able to source my materials in time.

Occasionally, I will waive the Rush Booking Fee in exchange for receiving the wedding photo gallery, which is typically a 10% discount. All requirements of the photography discount will still apply. It is up to my discretion whether to charge the rush fee or accept a photo gallery exchange. This will be determined largely based on the gallery's added value to my portfolio. Unique floral designs, new venues, or photographers I have not yet featured will be of more value than those already in my portfolio.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS OR PACKAGES?

I offer a 10% photography discount, which you can read about and apply for here.

I do not currently offer package deals. I have found that most couples' needs do not fit any one package. All of my items are priced à la carte, so you can get exactly what you need - no more and no less!

WHAT IF I EXCEED THE SETUP/TEARDOWN HOURS I PURCHASED?

If this happens, don't sweat it! You will be invoiced for the difference, following your wedding. Enjoy that honeymoon!

I LIVE OUT OF STATE - CAN YOU SHIP?

Unfortunately, with the rising shipping prices and my local bookings keeping me busy, I no longer offer shipping. All orders must be local pickup or delivery only. I am located in Ardmore, Oklahoma but will deliver as far as Tulsa or DFW areas.

DO YOU ACCEPT CANCELLATIONS OR RETURNS?

CANCELLATIONS: $100 of your 50% deposit will be non-refundable, should you cancel your booking at any time, or for any reason. I understand that things happen, but in order to ensure all my clients are treated fairly, I cannot make exceptions for individual circumstances. I understand that with the presence of COVID, many weddings are being postponed...if this is the case, your deposit will roll over.

RETURNS: Because I send photos for approval during and at completion of your order, returns are not accepted. Any design-change requests should be made prior to final payment, pickup, or delivery.

If you notice something wrong with your items after receiving them, please notify me within 24 hours, and we can discuss a satisfactory solution!

WHAT IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY FLORALS?

I am confident this will not happen! I always send photos prior to finalizing any piece, at which point you will have the opportunity to request changes. Most small changes are free of charge, but full color/design changes or add-ons exceeding the value of the original design will incur a design change fee of $5-30 per piece, depending on what type of changes are being made. As always, please ask all questions prior to making your final payment, and PLEASE contact me with any concerns as soon as possible. It's your big day, and your satisfaction is my #1 priority!

SHOULD I TAG YOU IN MY WEDDING POSTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

YES!! I always love being tagged in your wedding photos! While I appreciate the credit, it also just brings me so much joy to see your florals in action! My Facebook & Instagram are: @myartbeat.florals

WHAT EXACTLY ARE SOLA FLOWERS?

Sola flowers are made from the thin shavings of tapioca or balsa tree bark. Each individual flower is painstakingly designed by hand. Sola flowers can be made with brown bark on them or as a solid ivory, which is their natural color. There are literally hundreds of impressive sola flower styles! In their natural state they are somewhat soft and spongy, similar to foam flowers.

I have made the difficult decision to discontinue custom-dyed sola flowers due to it being so time-consuming. I will still offer a wide variety of natural ivory and bark style flowers.

Choose your favorite sola flower styles here!

WHAT IF I WANT A DESIGN I SAW THAT HAS DYED SOLA FLOWERS?

Unfortunately, I am no longer offering custom-dyed sola flowers due to how time-consuming the dyeing process is. For any of my floral designs you see that include dyed sola flowers, I will do my best to find those same or similar colors in silks. I cannot guarantee that they will be the same flower style, but I always try to ensure that the finished product has the same overall aesthetic. Keep in mind that if you just want the look of a particular sola flower type, I do still offer them in natural ivory or bark styles.
